Hello Everyone,
Greetings from Lima, Perú.
Greetings from Lima, Perú.
I am so excited to tell you that Materia Prima youth camp was amazing. (Jan 26th - Feb 7th) We had a good time there. It has been such a different experience for me, I was in charged of organizing it. The experience was awesome! I had an amazing team who helped me with all the details, decorations, outreach set up and promotion.
In the past we did it with the help, financial support and guidance of Pittsburgh YWAM base, but this year we did it ourselves. We have learned so much from them and I am so thankful of being part of them and now, being able of doing it.
Materia Prima has the same heart of knowing God and making him know, but it is design for Peruvians to Peruvians. Wanting to rise up our own people and challenge them to go deeper with the Lord and believe in the great calling God has given to the Peruvians.
We had 20 young Peruvian from all over Lima. The first five days we taught them how to listen God’s voice trained them on sharing and defending their faith, taught them some dramas and dances, ministering and spending time with them.
After that time, we split in two teams for the outreach phase. My team ministering in the north part of Lima: La Molina, Miraflores. We had a good time there. We went to different plazas, markets, busy streets, door to door preaching the gospel. They were so passionate about God that they didn’t miss any opportunity of sharing God’s love to the people.
Jonathan, one of our students, has a heart for missions. One night me and him had supper together, we start talking about missions and Gods destiny for our lives. I must confess, as I was talking to him I saw myself 4 years ago, when I started dreaming about going in the mission field. We talked for a long time and I encourage him to keep on dreaming and believing the impossible! Jonathan has never been overseas, nevertheless, he is coming to our overseas trip this year! Yay! Praise God.
In those 7 days we had 672 salvations in both teams. It was a great time! We not only share God’s love to the people but also we took time to listen to the kids and ministering to them one by one.
Now, we are planning on take 8 of them to the Amazon of Peru,
(Feb 26th March 8th) Colombia and Brazil. I am so excited to take this team of young Peruvians to the Nations. This is one of my dreams coming true.
I need your prayer and support for this great challenge. I ask you for your prayers for me and my sister who will be leading the team with me. Pray for our safety and open hearts to share God´s love to people in the communities in Peru and in Colombia and Brazil.
Also, I ask you for your financial support because I still need to raise $300 for my trip. I already bought my ticket to Iquitos, but I still need to pay the one for Leticia, Colombia and Tabatinga, Brazil.
